Cultural Industries in Shanghai Symposium 29/06/18

The symposium was organised by Intellect and the Shanghai Academy of Social Science (SASS) to launch the book Cultural Industries in Shanghai, published by Intellect; to provide SASS with a stage to promote the academy as a leading centre of academic excellence, and Shanghai as an important city for the creative industries in China. The event was financed by SASS as part of a much wider plan to develop relationships and promote collaborations between Shanghai and cities around the globe. From Intellect’s perspective, it provided an excellent opportunity to develop a more productive relationship with SASS and with academics and practitioners in the creative industries, not to mention sell a few copies of Cultural Industries in Shanghai.
